Circuit Analysis Lecture 2: Resistors and Ohm’s Law

In this video, we will explore the most basic circuit element: the resistor. We define resistance, and discuss how it relates voltage and current. In addition, we will also introduce ideal sources (voltage sources and current sources). Lastly, we will look at examples where we practice using Ohm’s Law to determine the value of voltage, current, or resistance at certain points in the circuit.

Note: the reason I use lowercase cursive letters for voltage and current is because, in the future, we will need to distinguish between the lowercase letters and uppercase letters when dealing with phasors. I’d recommend you use lowercase as well so there is as little confusion as possible.
